I've nominated Dojo, Oh No!/ Finding Hershel, an article you created, for deletion. [edit] Copyright problem: Image:Einsteincharacs.jpg

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Image:Einsteincharacs.jpg. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://disney.go.com in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:Einsteincharacs.jpg with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Image:Einsteincharacs.jpg with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Image:Einsteincharacs.jpg saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your original contributions are welcome. Sam8 03:04, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Lileinsteins.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Lileinsteins.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:04, 24 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sam8 03:04, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Wubbzy logo.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Wubbzy logo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sam8 06:53, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Random Cartoons Logo.gif

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Random Cartoons Logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:34, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Eds Are Coming

I see that you added this episode to Season 5. I feel it may be more at home under Special Episodes. I really can't see it at home in Season 5, and Season 6 has been cancelled, so.... -- Elaich talk 04:03, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

  • This is an encyclopedia. It doesn't matter what you, I or anyone else thinks. We publish facts only. the3eds.com is a fan site. It is not official. When an official announcement is made through official channels, then the information is suitable to be published here. Not before. The movie, if and when it comes out, will have it's own page, but not before. Anything said about the movie at this point is speculation. It may not ever come out at all. "The Eds Are Coming" is obviously a special episode, like the holiday specials. It was part of a special event, and thus, not part of any season. Hope this clears things up for you. -- Elaich talk 02:30, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
    • There has been no official announcement of 2 episodes in the making for season 6. This is a rumor bandied about on fan pages. The official announcement is that the movie will replace season 6. The next time you post rumors and fancruft to Wikipedia without a citation, I will view it as vandalism. -- Elaich talk 21:18, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Scamofthecentury.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Scamofthecentury.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ededdneddyscamofthecentury.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Ededdneddyscamofthecentury.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:52, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Please stop trying to revive single episode articles related to Ed, Edd n Eddy. It is generally accepted on Wikipedia that such articles are not notable, and thus, have no place here. I do not doubt your good faith, but looking at this talk page, it seem that you do not really understand what Wikipedia is and what it is for. So many things you have posted have been deleted, mostly all because they are not notable. I would suggest that you take a good look at WP:NOTE for some answers. I have redirected the articles (again.) If you continue to undo the redirect, I will propose them for Afd. -- Elaich talk 03:23, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

  • Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Ed, Edd n Eddy, by blanking content, and adding nonsense and unsourced or untrue information, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Elaich talk 23:02, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of EL oop

A tag has been placed on EL oop requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. It looks like you needed to update the fair-use rationale template. I did this for you. You just have to make sure that the template has a link back to the article you want to use it for. You do this by typing in the name of the article into the template. In the future, you should make sure that the image is no larger than about 300 pixels wide, so that it is low resolution.
