Ublaz Mad-Eyes

Ublaz Mad-Eyes is an anthropomorphic pine marten from the book The Pearls of Lutra in the Redwall series by Brian Jacques.
Emperor of all corsairs, Ublaz is known as Mad-Eyes due to his unpredictable nature and his hypnotic gaze, which can turn anyone into his willing servants. Ublaz's forces consisted of Trident Rats, soldiers who wield long tridents, and monitor lizards, that only he could command. His main goal was to complete his imperial crown by capturing the Tears of All Oceans.
When the captain Ublaz dispatched to recover the Tears came back without them, he sent out a group of his monitors to retrieve the pearls. Ublaz's hold over his island stronghold began to slip as the pirate captains rebelled, refusing to serve Ublaz until they were given fair plunder and their choice of his timber stock for their ships. His efforts to reassert control continued to fail.
In the end, Ublaz was left almost defenseless. Most of his monitors had been slain, the Trident Rats had deferred to the corsairs' side, and his forces had failed to return with the Tears. The final straw was when a band of warriors led by Martin the Second penetrated his fortress, setting fire to his timber stock and killing his remaining monitors. Desperate, Ublaz engaged Martin in battle, but could not defeat the mouse warrior. He met his end when a venomous sea snake, whom he kept in his fortress to practice hypnosis on, bit him.
Ublaz's weapon of choice was a curved sword. He wore regal clothing, and plundered from various locations.
