"U Don't Know Me" is a single by house music producer Armand Van Helden from the album 2 Future 4 U. It features Duane Harden on vocals.
The song was number one in the UK Top 40 in 1999, knocking off The Offspring's song "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)". The recording of this song went about in an unconventional way; the track was laid down, Van Helden went off and did his own thing, and left Harden to his own devices.[citation needed]
The strings featured in this song sampled the disco song "Dance With U", originally performed by Carrie Lucas. The full version of the track features an intro sampling a conversation from the Dial M for Monkey cartoon.
