[edit] History
The album was originally titled "Who Say St. Louis Ain't Hip Hop?" and was then changed to "The Package", and finally was changed to "U C Me". Four tracks from the album have leaked on the Internet. The song "Murph Derrty" can be heard on producer Jason "Jay E" Epperson's official myspace page.[4] Murphy Lee told SOHH the following:
Murph recently told SOHH about his new CD. "It’s called U C Me. It’s an amazing album. I had to make a classic and when I say classic I mean it. It’s like a box of Frosted Flakes cereals, you know what I’m saying. Original!"
he continued to say:
"I was young when I got in this, he continued. I needed to vacate. I got away, got my thoughts together, watched the game, people grew. I just wanted a classic. Shake Ya Tailfeather came out, won a Grammy. It was kinda quick with that Murphy's Law. But we still sold a million records. Now this time I got a chance to sit down and really put together a straight album cause I wanna be here forever."[3]
