In the U.S. state of Illinois, U.S. Route 51 (abbreviated U.S. 51) is a main north-south artery that runs from the Ohio River north to the Wisconsin border. This is a distance of 415.95 miles (669.41 km).[1] For the main article about U.S. 51, see U.S. Route 51. South of Centralia, the road passes the intersection of the Third Principal Meridian and its Baseline.
