U.S. Route 264 is a spur of U.S. Route 64. It currently runs for 199 miles (320 km) from Raleigh, North Carolina to Manns Harbor, North Carolina at US 64. It is entirely within the state of North Carolina.

In July 2005, a six lane freeway dubbed the Knightdale Bypass, but most commonly called the 64 Bypass after the main highway U.S. Route 64 or as the local population calles it the “Knightdale Speedway”, was opened to traffic. The newly constructed freeway travels from Raleigh's Beltline, Interstate 440, to the already constructed US 64/264 freeway east of Knightdale. US 264 was rerouted along with US 64 to the Knightdale Bypass. The old route is designated as Business 64.
