U.S. Army Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The United States Army is currently the only military/governmental organization that has a program that produces psychiatric/mental health nurses.[citation needed] These nurses are already registered nurses (RNs) who have decided to specialize in this field.

The school is currently held at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. The school is held twice yearly and produces approximately 8 nurses a year. These nurses are then sent forward to other bases.
