Uí Náir were a sub-set of the Dál Messin Corb, who's main branch was the Uí Garrchon. Kevin of Glendalough, bishop Conláid of Kildare (a contempary of Bridget of Kildare) and bishop Éitcheáin of Cluain Fota Báetáin claimed descent from the Uí Náir
