source[1] Tzhu(慈湖), literally means benevolent lake. The lake is 5 acre width. It used to be called Green water lake(碧水湖澤). Chiang Kai-shek renamed it as Tzhu because the scenery reminds him of his benevolent mother and his home town, Fenghua.
