Tzahi Biton (Hebrew: צחי ביטון) was a retired Israeli football (soccer)player who died on One-Two-GO Airlines Flight 269. As a midfielder, he played for Beitar Kfar Yona. He married the daughter of the club's equipment manager, Hofit.[1]
[edit] Career
After four seasons, Biton decided to quit football and concentrate on his studies and becoming more religious. Moshe Glam, who played with him in Kfar Yona, described Biton as being a shy person who needed to be more aggressive on the field.[2]
[edit] Death
Biton was on his honeymoon in Thailand when he boarded a flight with his wife, Hofit and their friends Adi Naim and Rotem Naori. After their bodies were identified, they were flown back to Israel where they were laid to rest next to their friends, Adi and Rotem.[3]
