Tyson has many activities that include a grade 5/6 boys soccer team and a grade 5/6 girls soccer team. There is five elementary school soccer weeks, but this year the boys team had a bye so they only played four games and lost them all. There is a district tournament though in which the boys team won their first two games, lost one and tied one,(2-1-1). There is a boys grade 6 volleyball team, who currently do not have a coach so at this moment there is only a grade 6 girls volleyball team, who have played a great season so far. The only other sport is basketball in which there are yet again a grade 5/6 boys team, and a grade 5/6 girls team. But the grade six's get first pick, and last year the boys coach was too nice, so there ended up being over 30 children on that team, most of them grade 5's
