Typhoon Bolaven

The name Bolaven has been used for two tropical cyclones in the western Pacific Ocean. The name, contributed by Laos, is a Laotian word for a mesa or a plateau.
- 2000's Tropical Storm Bolaven - crossed the Ryūkyū Islands and brushed southern Japan.
- 2005's Typhoon Bolaven - hit the Philippines as a tropical storm.
