Tymon Zaborowski

Tymon Zaborowski (17991828) was a Polish poet. At the beginning of his writing career he was influenced by classicism, then by Romanticism. He was also known as "Wieszcz Miodoboru", the term adopted from one of his poem.

Tymon Zaborowski was born on April 18, 1799 in Liczkowce on Podolia. During the years of 18101816 he attended to Liceum Krzemienieckie. He began writing in 1814 as a member of the students' group "Klub Piśmienniczy". In 18161818 in Warsaw Zaborowski was an editor of literary section in Ćwiczenia Naukowe magazine. Then he settled at family estate in Liczkowce.

He died in 1828 in Liczkowce. It is unknown whether his death date is March 20 or March 28.
