Tyler Cuthbert is a hockey player in his fourth season with the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. Cuthbert, who was born in Peterborough, Ontario in 1987, is an alternate captain for the team[citation needed]. Playing left defence, Cuthbert has established himself as one of the team's most reliable defencemen.[1]
Greyhounds coach Craig Hartsburg speaks highly[citation needed] of the 20 year-old from Omemee, Ontario. Cuthbert's no-nonsense skill won recognition in a coaches' poll, ranking as the third best defensive defenceman in the OHL's Western Conference in the 2006-07 season.[2] He also has been successful off the ice, winning the Scholastic Award in 2007 for the Greyhounds.
