Tyge Wittrock Böcher (1909-1983) was a Danish botanist, evolutionary biologist, plant ecologist and phytogeographer.

Professor in botany at the University of Copenhagen from 1954 to 1979. Work in Greenland, Denmark, European mountainous regions and Argentina. Works on vascular plants, bryophytes, lichens and algae. Works on cytology, anatomy, ecology and evolution of plant species, and on the ecology of plant populations and plant communities. Co-founder of Flora Europaea. The genus Boechera Á.Löve & D.Löve is named after him.
