[edit] Blayse
The article Blayse has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. J Milburn 20:02, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hi there. First of all, when writing on talk pages, please start a new section (unless answering something or continuing a conversation) and sign it with ~~~~. I realise I didn't create a section when I warned you above, but I was using a program to warn for me. As for the article- I admit I know absolutely nothing about R'n'B, but I shouldn't have to. Generally, some reliable sources should be provided, or the article should explain why the group meets our notability guidelines. As for who wrote the current version- you can see that here. The article does look valid, apologies for deleting. Happy editing, and feel free to contact me if you need any help. J Milburn 16:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Learning
Right, picture guidelines are not understood by (probably) the majority of contributors, so, if you get on the right path, you are doing well. Photos from press packs are not generally welcome- we aim to create a free encyclopedia, meaning that copyrighted images must be a last resort. If you own the copyright to the images, and wish to upload them under a free license, you are more than welcome to. The process is explained here, feel free to contact me with specific issues. A couple of notes for the articles you have written- first of all, don't sign articles, your signature is for discussions. Secondly, section and article titles should use sentence case capitalisation- first word and proper nouns capitalised only. See this for an explanation of that. The articles look fine- you write in a slightly different style to me, I prefer to heavily reference my text, but your style is how minor bands and artists usually have articles written on them, so that's great! I'm here if you need any help, as you know. Happy editing! J Milburn 13:01, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- It is the number of bytes changed. Number of bytes roughly equals the number of characters. So, +20 means that there are 20 more characters in the article than there were before the edits. J Milburn 13:48, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
