[edit] About Me
Hello, fellow Wiki-heads! I am new to creating and editing articles on Wikipedia. I came across a couple of articles with inaccurate or missing content one day while surfing the internet and got hooked on Wikipedia.
- English is my native language, but I also speak several others.
- I have a vast knowledge of R&B music and some rap
- I have lived most of my life in Texas and...
- Besides writing, I shoot the crossbow and ride horseback, but not at the same time.
[edit] My desire is to make contributions to the database through
- Writing new articles to help expound on current articles
- Assist with removing "self-promoting" content on current articles. I noticed several articles where the content was pasted directly from press releases and leaned more toward marketing than providing information. Not that this was done intentionally or maliciously - just that some adjustments may be needed to the verbiage
- Correcting grammatical and puncuation errors. A writer often misses their own errors, but can help with spotting errors of another writer. Likewise, I welcome corrections to any articles I have posted - as this will help me grow and become a more valuable contributor.
Until I started writing for Wikipedia, I had no idea just how much music trivia I had in my head. It is wonderful to be able to put my experience to use and assist others with finding information - no matter how obscure or menial it may appear.
[edit] Original Articles
- Blayse (the original article was deleted because as a newbie I forgot to post the source)
- Tony Grant
- Gary "Lil G" Jenkins
- Terrell Phillips
Thank you to everyone who has given guidance. Leave me a message on my talk page with suggestions or tips!
