Two Sicilies piastra
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The piastra was the currency of the Two Sicilies between 1815 and 1860. It was subdivided into 120 grana, each of 2 tornese. The piastra was a continuation of the Sicilian piastra and the Neapolitan piastra issued prior to 1815. On the mainland around Naples, the piastra also replaced the Neapolitan lira.
The piastra was replaced by the Sardinian lira and then the Italian lira at a rate of 1 piastra = 5.1 lire.
