[edit] Plot summary

Go Twitches, Go Twitches! Twin Witches is what they are. Tia and Tamara Mowry star in this magical comedy. Magical twin sisters are separated at birth, by their protectors Karsh and Ileana, when the Darkness attack their homeland of Coventry and killed the twins' father. They survived because their father gave all of his magic to the twins and when they are together they are safe. Camryn grows up in a high-class family and becomes a social butterfly. She wears a sun amulet, and is up as soon as the sun rises. She likes to draw pictures of Coventry and their birth mother, Miranda. Alex grew up in a middle-class home with a single mother (who died recently). She wears a moon amulet and is up until the moon sets. She is a bookworm and is into studying more than the party life.

On their 21st birthday, October 31st, Camryn and her friend Beth go shopping, while Alex goes looking for a job. At a fashion store, the two sisters meet for the first time (in a very similar way their characters on Sister, Sister). Alex goes running from the store, and Camryn goes after her. When she takes her hand in hers, their magic is released. They bond as sisters, trying to understand what's happened to them, and get to know about each others' lifestyles, along with casting a few spells (each which ends with something bad happening to Karsh). They come up with the name Twitches. This is when they meet Karsh and Ileana, who tell the story of Coventry, which Alex has been writing in her journal, thinking it was only a story she created. Alex doesn't want to take any part in restoring Coventry's light, and leaves, with Camryn.

While at Alex's apartment, the "Darkness", arrives. The sisters use their magic and barely escape. Camryn is now freaked out, and doesn't want to have any part of their destiny. She leaves for her birthday party on Earth. Alex feels as though she was abandoned, and goes to Coventry on her own. She meets her mother and Thantos, her uncle.

While at Camryn's party, the Darkness once again attacks. She realizes who the Darkness is, and goes to her sister and mother. She makes it there, just as Thantos arrives. He is the Darkness and swallows their mother. He killed his own brother. Alex and Camryn combine their magic of light and love to destroy Thantos. They restore Coventry's light, and returns to Camryn's home, along with their mother to have cake. The movie ends with the sisters saying, "Go Twitches, It's Our Birthday!"

[edit] Goofs

  • When Alex and Camryn come back from going to Coventry, and Alex just went back to Camryn's room, Camryn goes after her and the door shuts behind her. Yet when the scene changes, and it shows it from her room, Alex shuts the door.

Possible Explanation: Since the scene begins to black out (placed for a commercial break because it originally aired on television), the scene could have began again in Camryn's room.

  • Though the maid is sucked up by the darkness, when Cameron and Alex defeat him, she is not at Coventry.

Possible Explanation: She might have been transported back to the real world.

  • When first arriving in Coventry, Camryn drops her scrapbooks on the stone floor. When she and Alex go back through the door to Camryn's bedroom, the scrapbooks are gone, though neither of the girls picked them up.

Possible Explanation: Camryn subconciously used her magic to put her books back in their proper place.

  • When Thantos/Darkness is destroyed and their mother is relessed, her amulet is gone

Possible Explanation: It was revealed in the alternate ending on the DVD, Miranda admits it fell off in the darkness.

  • Before Camryn went back to Coventry, she crumpled her drawing of Thantos and threw it on the floor. But Miranda already has it when they were confronting Thantos at the castle.

Possible Explanation: Miranda could have used magic, and can be psychic. Also don't forget that when Miranda has the drawing in her hand, she uses her magic to fix the drawing since it was crumbled or maybe camryn picked it up after she threw it on the floor, reminding her self that she still needs it.
