Twinfield is an online financial accounting package for small and medium enterprises, produced and maintained by Twinfield International, based in The Netherlands.[1] In 2007, an article in SME Blog stated Twinfield was "the No 1 Online Accounting System in Europe" [2] and is used by over 15,000 subscribers in 20 countries.[3]
The software is based on the Software as a service (SaaS) ideology. Because of the SaaS design, accounts can be accessed and analysed through any internet connection and the software is maintained by the provider, not the subscriber. [4]
In 2005 Twinfield International received an Export Connection Award from Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs recognising the company's international focus and innovation.[5]
