From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Twig (ISBN 1-930900-05-8) is a 1942 book by Elizabeth Orton Jones. It features Twig, a little girl who turns a tomato can into a house for fairies.

The New York Times praised the book by saying, "Miss Jones, who knows children well, has told stories with warmth and simplicity."

The book is so popular in Elizabeth's hometown of Mason, New Hampshire that Elizabeth herself was known as "Twig" to them; many residents don't know her as anything else.
