[edit] Proposal to add more photos

I had the chance to take many photographs of the stadium in the Autumn of 2003. I am prepared to release them into the public domain so that they may be used for this article.

Here is an example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Twickenham_Stadium%2C_view_from_North_Stand.jpg . Feel free to add that to the article if you want. If anyone is interested I can dig up the rest of my photos and provide a preview before we decide whether to use them or not. --JackInTheBox 08:41, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

Does anyone have a decent picture of the stadium as it is today because the current one is quite old.

There needs to be a picture showing the redeveloped Twickenham, the old picture that is on the main page does not give an indication of how the stadium looks today. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.104.49.185 (talk) 14:54, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

I have just completely re-designed the info box as I felt it really did need improving seeing the article is trying to impart knowledge on the second biggest stadia now in England. The picture that is now in the info-box was taken by me yesterday and I hope it improves the article. I still have many more pictures of the stands from the 2008 Premiership Final and if anyone thinks they should be used in the article let me know and I will do so. Cheers. [edit] Controlled explosion

Today sunday at 1pm they conducted a controlled explosion to take out the south stand... we were not aware of it and it created a lot of panic in our neighbourhood because we thought it was a terrorist attack... sheesh. Quite a sight to see that big structure falling off Adidas 12:34, 10 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Swing Low/1991 World Cup

There is a huge chunk of this page dedicated to just 2 matches of the hundreds played at Twickenham. We should get rid of the sectionon on the 1988 Chris Oti game, this relates to the England Rugby Team, not the stadium. (Certainly merits a mention elsewhere, I was at the game, it was fantastic to watch, but not here).

The section on the Rugby World Cup final of 1991 should also be removed, we only need a mention of the fact it was played there and a link to the 1991 World Cup article, where any details of the match should be (also I don't think arguing the merits of a refereeing decision on a potential penalty try can ever be completely neutral point of view, and though the details of the facts of the situation given here are accurate, there is a lot of associated opinions there also).

In summary, get rid of both these paragraphs. Replace with a mention of the world cup final, linked accordingly, and the Swing Low section be added to the England Rugby Union Team article (if not there already, I think it is).

Thoughts, anyone, before I make the edit? Sanctuary73 14:57, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
