Tvrdošovce is a large village and municipality in the Nové Zámky District in the Nitra Region of south-west Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1221.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 120 metres and covers an area of 55.56 km². It has a population of about 5222 people.

The population is about 72% Magyar, 27% Slovak with other small minorities

The village has a small public library, swimming pool, gym and a football pitch. it also has a DVD rental store.
