[edit] About me
Hello there. I'm a 20 year old Canadian-born caucasian Canadian of Ukrainian descent (whaaa??) living in a suburb of Toronto. Ever since I discovered this internet thing about a decade ago, I've been on it. It's fun. I highly recommend it. What? Too much info? To tell you the truth, I don't remember much about my first few years on this planet. They must have drugged me, because I don't really remember anything before the age of 4, and, even then, it's very vague. I occasionally remember being behind bars, but they didn't even have a roof to the cell. It was just demoralizing, like that. If they didn't disable my legs, I would have just walked out of there. It took me a while to regain the use of my legs, but, by then, they already had me so dependant on them, that I couldn't even walk away if I wanted to. For example, those sick bastards would make me shit myself in a diaper and then I would have to wait for them to wipe my ass for me, as if I was incompetent. I'm sure it violated something in the Geneva Convention to not provide me with a toilet and some TP. As I behaved better over the years and stopped crying for no apparent reason, they allowed me certain luxuries. First they allowed me to take my own craps, and then stopped putting me in the cell. Shortly after they released me from prison, they sent me to a half-way house every weekday for a few hours, where I met up with other people with situations similar to mine. My memory was still foggy at this point, but I must have scored some steroids, because I kept growing and growing. Funnily enough, now that I was on parole, my long-term memory started coming back. Then some other shit happened for the next 16 years. [edit] Me on WikipediaI first joined Wikipedia in October 2005 to contribute to the wrestling related articles, and did that for a few weeks. Shortly after, I took a 2 month hiatus to focus on my school work, and returned in January 2006. Other than for about a week in February, I've been here since. When I came back, I started to get involved in reverting vandalism. I now focus more on reverting vandalism than making actual contributions to articles, although occassionaly, I fix errors I see when looking out for vandalism. I do plan to get back into contributing soon, but, unfortunately, I have limited knowledge in most areas. [edit] UserboxesMy user page used to just be the word "Hi", so, one day, I decided to try and add something to it. That's when I discovered userboxes. I have obsessive-compulsive tendencies, and I can't just stop with one. Here are my criteria for adding a userbox to my page. It is really hard to gain acceptance onto this hallowed ground for any typical userbox.
As you can see, standards are high. [edit] Vandalism reversion
I mainly use Lupin's Anti-vandal tool to get a hold of the vandalism and then use that in combination with Sam Hocevar's godmode-light to rollback the vandalism. Plus, Lupin's Popups certainly help make matter easier. I occasionally open up CyptoDerk's vandal fighter, but it's usually useless to me. Don't get me wrong. It's a great tool for a vandal fighter, but I only use it to catch page blankings. With people like Tawker, RexNL, Curps, and Naconkantari, just to name a few, out there, I usually catch only one blanking for every twenty that go by. So, I go to Lupin's tool and I monitor my watchlist and the recent IP edits for vandalism that may slip through the cracks. Once I revert vandalism to a page, it stays on my watchlist. This allows to me compile no data what-so-ever on the most vandalized pages. My watchlist grows daily. It's almost getting out of hand that I don't have time to skim my watchlist in the morning before I go to school because it's just so big! I already have over 2500 pages on my watchlist, and that number doesn't include talk pages, whch I always check - either to see if it was vandalised, or if I could maybe put my two cents in and help with something! It's a lot of pages to skim through when logging back on to Wikipedia. Every time I log onto Wikipedia, I remember the last time I checked my watchlist, and I go up from that time, until I reach the present. I admit that I don't check all the links. I've spent enough time here to know which editors are trustworthy, and I usually skip over the article if they're the last editor. Content-wise, that's stupid of me, but I'm constantly in a vandal-whacking mood. Although, I pretty much have a feel for the warning messages, I always have a tab in my Firefox open to the list of warning templates, just in case I run into something I've never encountered before, and need to act quick. [edit] My future on WikipediaFor now, I just want to continue to revert vandalism and learn the ropes. I do wish to become an admin, in order to help out more with the vandalism, and to help out in other areas such as AfD. For the time being, I'm just going to learn from other people, get more involved in contributing material, and participate more in things like AfDs and RfAs. [edit] Additional informationFor additional information about me, please see my page of all the other userboxes that either apply to me, or I just happen to like. For any more specific things, send me that nice orange rectangular box. [edit] Barnstars[edit] Random commentIsn't it ironic how, so far, the only section without a userbox in it is the section on userboxes? [edit] Your helpMy User page is nowhere near complete. I'm proud of the fact that my page looked like complete shit, and, while it's no work of art (other than the awesome template), I've managed to make it readable and non-vomit inducing. How this involves you: Please feel free to add suggestions about what can be done with this page, on my talk page. Or, if you prefer, you can edit my page and make changes. Just please, if I remove your changes, don't feel bad about it. It just didn't work out. By the way, if you're all the way down here, you've probably seen the deletion notice up at the top. Feel free to click on the discussion link and add a vote. A little laugh on Wikipedia won't hurt :). [edit] To do
