[edit] Usage

usage: {{tv.com person | id=xxxxx | name=Person Name}}

  1. Find the page on tv.com.
  2. The URI should look something like this: http://www.tv.com/joss-whedon/person/402/summary.html
  3. (or possibly this: http://www.tv.com/joss-whedon/person/402/summary.html?q=Joss+Whedon).
  4. The number in bold is the person ID.
  5. The name should be the text you want the link to display.

Thus:

{{tv.com person | id=402 | name=Joss Whedon}}

yields:

Joss Whedon at TV.com

[edit] Tvtome.com updates

Tvtome is now TV.com, so far the templates still work. However, they do have a new url format, and in the future the old url format, used by the templates may not work. Does anyone know any of the specifics on the new TV.com? <>Who?¿? 02:46, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I changed it to something that seems to work. --Christopherlin 09:22, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
That looked fairly simple. Thanks. <>Who?¿? 18:31, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Maybe "tvtome person" should be changed to "tv.com person" or something

[edit] name attribute

I propose we replace the {{{name}}} attribute with {{PAGENAME}}.

See full proposal.
