[edit] Currently in the process of being merged?
I was under the impression that it's currently unlikely to ever be merged into the kernel. According to kerneltrap, Nigel currently has no intention of getting the patches merged into the vanilla kernel. John Reed Riley 01:27, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- From the kerneltrap article, it's clear Nigel won't be working on merging suspend2 but the kernel documentation (/Documentation/power/swsusp.txt) of the latest kernel series still mentions that swsusp will eventually be replaced with suspend2! bandan 03:35, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

- Nice. Now if only either of them would work on my laptop. John Reed Riley 05:02, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] unclear forking info
The first two sentences of the article are unclear about what was forked from what. Pavel got "it" merged -- what is "it"? Is swsusp/suspend2 the main branch or the fork? Please could someone kindly correct this?
- Sorry. 'It' is the out-of-tree swsusp codebase as it was at the time. Fixed now. NigelCunningham (talk) 04:12, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] non encyclopedic
The sentence "At the present, Nigel is busy with other tasks and is not focussing on getting the code merged" is not encyclopedic. What is the present? Please could someone change it to "As of <year>", or somesuch. 77.98.6.200
