[edit] Your question about Simple Gifts at the new contributor's help page
Hi, Tusseysky. There are now a couple of responses to your question at the new contributor's help page. The first addresses the concept of hatnotes between similarly named articles. As there were more than two articles involved, I set up a disambiguation page for you to take a look at to see how that works, too. --Gwguffey (talk) 18:32, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
{{helpme}} Hi. We would like to change the title to Simple Gifts (music) instead of (trio). According to the instructions, it's a simple procedure to change the title using the "click/use 'move' tab at top of screen," but I don't see that tab. Thanks. Tusseysky (talk) 13:45, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, per naming conventions, "Simple Gifts (folk trio)" would be a better name. I have moved this page to "Simple Gifts (folk trio)" for you. The tab "move" should be up at the top, next to the tabs reading "edit this page" and "history". 13:53, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
{{helpme}} Thanks for changing the name per conventions, but Simple Gifts also plays as a duo sometimes and Linda Littleton would prefer the (music) title. Is this possible? If so, I can change it if I find the tab. Tusseysky (talk) 15:25, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- "(Music)" is too generic, as the title might mislead some into believing that it's a genre of music. I'll move it to "folk group" instead, and then will fix any double redirects accordingly. I'm surprised you can't find the tab -- it should be right at the top of the page. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 15:47, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
{{helpme}}Slowly understanding the mechanics of Wikipedia. Please suggest links so that my baby will no longer be orphaned. Also, what problems are there with the style? I also changed the name again. Are there are redirect pages that should be deleted or changed? Thanks. Tusseysky (talk) 17:55, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- If you want to check any redirects, go to the article, and click on "What Links Here?". Also, please ask questions simply, e.g. 'my baby' ?. SimpsonsFan08 talk contribs 20:41, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Simple gifts.jpg
Hi Tusseysky!
We thank you for uploading Image:Simple gifts.jpg, but there is a problem. Your image is currently missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Unless you can help by adding a copyright tag, it may be deleted by an Administrator. If you know this information, then we urge you to add a copyright tag to the image description page. We apologize for this, but all images must confirm to policy on Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

{{helpme}} Ok, check to see if I added the copyright correctly. Also, can you suggest topics so that this article is no longer orphaned, and also let me know why the page doesn't conform to standards.
- Hello. In the permission field of the template on the image description page, you say that the image is non-free, but you added a template that says that it can be used for any purpose as long as the copyright holder is attributed. These statements seem to contradict each other. Can you make it more clear what the copyright status is? Also, it would be helpful if you forward confirmation of the copyright status to the Wikimedia Communications Committee. Instructions for that can be found at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.
- You can de-orphan the article by linking from relevant articles such as from awards won, lists of musicians, individual musicians who are part of the group, etc. You can improve the article by editing it to comply with the manual of style and especially by citing reliable sources for as much of the information in the article as you can (see WP:ATT). You might also see Wikipedia:WikiProject Musicians for more help and information on how to improve the article. WODUP 06:24, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright violation in Simple Gifts (folk and world music band)
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Simple Gifts (folk and world music band), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Simple Gifts (folk and world music band) is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Simple Gifts (folk and world music band), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. {{helpme}} I believe I am in compliance with all criticisms. Can somebody please remove all tags?Tusseysky (talk) 02:55, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Please quit overusing the helpme template. Your issues don't require help, and could probably have been handled on the article's talk page. The {{coi}} might stay, since you appeaer to be in connection with the band. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 03:01, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
