Hi there, I am a research student from the National University of Singapore and I wish to invite you to do an online survey about Wikipedia. To compensate you for your time, I am offering a reward of USD$10, either to you or as a donation to the Wikimedia Foundation. For more information, please go to the research home page. Thank you. --WikiInquirer 21:16, 3 March 2007 (UTC)talk to me

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Interchange logo.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Interchange logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 17:51, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mentioned at AN/I

Just so you're aware I mentioned you in a comment on AN/I regarding a possible imposter of you user:Tubesteak, just wanted to let you know, thread is here Dureo 20:11, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Wanted to let you know(if you hadn't seen it already) that he wasn't specifically trying to impersonate you, your name came up when you clicked the verify link because it is next alphabetically. Dureo 17:06, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gaterell

G'day Turnstep. I just noticed you deleted Gaterell as a nonsense page? I didn't create the article but categorized it as Category:Surnames and fixed up several spelling mistakes. I don't think articles on Surnames can be classed as nonsense? The work was unreferenced but that also in itself does not warrant a speedy delete does it? Might have taken some time (article evolution can be slow on Wikipedia) but I feel that the article would have been better left for Wikipedians skilled in working on articles of surnames to work on. [edit] Fergie's orgin is from surburbia, and the references should reflect that.

In America, it is quite common for Anglo-Americans to culturally co-opt or appropriate inventions of other cultures. Fergie has purchased many of her songs from Black song writers and producers. These songs are apart of the Black Culture. I don't have time to educate you on this subject but from this point forward I will attempt to cite my sources and references.
