[edit] Accessibility

In 2007 a start was made to provide Easy Access facilities at this station, which will mainly consist of a lift to provide access for wheelchairs and prams from the overhead footbridge to platform level. The awnings protecting against sun and rain are also being extended. Since the footbridge is located where the platform is in a cutting, it also has level access to the streets on either side. The existing footbridge has been demolished and a temporary one has been erected at the opposite end of the platform. The new footbridge and lift was opened on the 12th May, 2008.
