Turpentine is an early song by grunge band Hole. It was one of the earliest songs written and performed by Hole and can be heard on The First Session EP. These tracks were later included on My Body, the Hand Grenade. The song is unusual in that it was recorded at Hole's first recording session but wasn't released until 1997. The other tracks recorded at that session were all included on the Retard Girl single.
The lyrics discuss betrayal and death.
