Turkey Gross

Ewell Gross [Turkey] (February 21, 1896 - January 11, 1936) was a shortstop in Major League Baseball who played briefly for the Boston Red Sox during the 1925 season. Listed at 6' 0", 165 lb., Gross batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Mesquite, Texas.

In a nine-game career, Gross posted a .094 batting average (3-for-32), including two runs, two RBI, and one triple.

Gross died in Dallas, Texas at age 39.
