Turid Birkeland

Turid Birkeland (b. 1962) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. She was Minister of Culture 1996-1997. Today she is festival manager for the Risør Chamber Music Festival, and since June 2006 she has also been running Café Solsiden in the same town. She has also worked in television, hosting several shows for channels TVNorge and the short-lived TV+.
