Turabo University
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Turabo University (Spanish: Universidad del Turabo) is a private, non-profit, and secular university system in Puerto Rico. It is part of the Ana G. Mendez University System and is integrated by four campuses:
- Turabo University at Cayey
- Turabo University at Gurabo - the main campus and usually referred to as the Turabo University itself as it was the first campus and is the largest one.
- Turabo University at Isabela
- Turabo University at Naguabo
Critics have questioned the true non-profit nature of this institution, particularly since it has been tightly controlled by the Mendez family since it was founded, who essentially runs it as a privately-owned business.
