[edit] Some comments

This is a great article: I'd love to read some of his poetry. Is it worth making the point that, as in Britain, alcoholism was a central issue for the labour movement at that time. Workers were partly paid in drink, and alchoholism was seen as key tool of the capitalist class. I think readers outside Northern Europe might not understand that this opposition to alcoholism wasn’t a marginal eccentricist, but a touh-stone for class politics.

Did they “agitate for a similar Communist revolution in Sweden”, for a workers’ revolution? There’s a nuance: soviet power or party power?

The Czechoslovakian front? Can this correct? The Red Army fought only insider the territory of the former Empire, sureley? Did Czechosolovkia even exit?

Spain: the fighting is a little more complex than you suggest. The republican forces were both united and divided at different times. --Duncan 11:26, 26 January 2006 (UTC) B
