[edit] "The Magdalene Laundries"

A song called "The Magdalene Laundry" written by J Mulhern appears on the 1992 album Sentimental Killer recorded in 1991 by Mary Coughlan, and has the chorus line "Ooh Lord won't you let me wash away the stain". Same song? ... dave souza, talk 08:47, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Why is this said to be "one of her most commercially ... successful releases" when, according to the Joni Mitchell page, no fewer than 14 of her preceding albums, from "Clouds" through to "Night Ride Home", achieved higher placings on the US charts ?
