[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:ERTitleCard.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:ERTitleCard.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 11:13, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ealink png.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Ealink png.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:30, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] About your SuggestBot request

I'm just a fellow Wikipedian adding my user-name to the SuggestBot too, but I thought I would drop you a note, because you apparently added yourself (02 November 2007) in the wrong section. You might want to go back to User:SuggestBot/Requests and fix it, as you might be waiting a while for the bot's moderator to catch-up with your mistake. Have a good day. --Charles Gaudette 22:51, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Ah, thanks for noticing me. damn the long lists -Tuntis 22:52, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
You're quick! I thought I made a mistake for a moment! ;-) --Charles Gaudette 22:56, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] November 2007

Please do not attack other editors, which you did here: Husbands and Knives. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. henriktalk 17:26, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Also, please cease your edit warring on that article. Asking for sources is entirely reasonable. henriktalk 17:28, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Husbands and Knives. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Since you said that you have sources, please add them. Oxymoron83 17:32, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.

P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 20:29, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:SCCM.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:SCCM.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:01, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
