Tungiro-Olyokminsky District

Tungiro-Olyokminsky District (Russian: Тунги́ро-Олёкминский райо́н) is a district (raion) of Zabaykalsky Krai. The area of the district is 42,900 square kilometers (16,563.8 sq mi). Its administrative center is the village (selo) of Tupik. District's population: 1,696 (2005 est.); 1,643 (2002 Census); 1,899 (1989 Census).

The district was formed on September 21, 1938. Current Head of the District is Oleg Seleznyov. The district is rich with gold, silver, lead, and other natural resources.
