Talk:Tumbolia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(N.B. -- What follows is interesting but not strictly relevant to a talk page about an article.) Before I learned of Tumbolia, I had an identical concept for the place where extinct species go [Although I now wish that I had invented a clever name for this concept, like Douglas Hofstadter did]. These organisms continue to evolve there, but since they are no longer constrained by the rigorous demands of 'survival,' they're free to evolve into any crazy thing at all (within the much larger confines of the physical laws that govern non-living matter). Admittedly, it's not a fully-thought-out idea, but it has an undeniable appeal, doesn't it? --James Cipparroneee 00:18, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
