Tulla

Tulla (Irish: An Tulach, meaning "hill".) is a town in County Clare, Ireland. The town is the commercial centre for Tulla parish and the surrounding hinterland. Coordinates: 52°51′53, N°8′45 Tulla church was founded about 620 by Mochuille and the town received it’s town charter in the 13th Century.

Population of the town was 414 in 2002 but it has grown since then. Tulla rural area increased by 14.9% from 2001 to 2006.

Tulla is well known for the Tulla Ceili band and the Tulla Pipe band.

Tulla won the 2007 County Clare Hurling Club Championship.
