I took this picture. I have discovered they are Double Late Tulip Monsella, which this page seems to confirm. They were in front of my (old) rental house in Arvada, Colorado.

Per the license, please provide attribution that I was the creator and a link to my Wikipedia user page at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mecu or w:User:Mecu. Something along the lines of "Photo by MECU" is preferred. "MECU" should be in all caps. Note: my username is not all caps, just the way I like it displayed.
