Tuga za Jug (wine)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The T'ga za Jug wine is semi-dry and ruby-red in colour, with a distinctive bouquet of raspberries, strawberries, raisins, cinnamon, subtle oak and a slight hint of sweetness. It is produced in the Republic of Macedonia. It is similar in taste to the Italian or Californian Barbera, having a good acidity with flavours of red berries a touch of black pepper, hearty nose, light body and smooth finish. It is recommended to be served at temperatures between 18° and 20°C and taken with grilled food, wild game and cheese.

The wine is named after the famous poem of same name by poet Konstantin Miladinov.
