[edit] UA History template

In relation to our discussion, please tale a look at Talk:Russian Colonialism where I had a similar discussion with another user. I think it is time do AfD that whole article, btw. Regards, --Irpen 19:35, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Hallo,

We were at the SF-con last year and there for the first time we heard about "Lana -Wild Energie". Fortunately I was able to read the book in russian and I like it very much. Can You tell me, if the book is translated into English or German? And they told us, there will be a big Show on tour also in Germany, but we never heard about it again. Unfortunately the translator who was asked by a German publishing house didn't like the book as much as I am and so he didn't recommend it. I would like to hear more, also about the authors. The book was like starting to read it and going on to the end without leaving it. greatings Sabine and her family sabine.seyfarth@t-online.de

[edit] City-Raion stuff re: Ukraine

Dear Tufkaa, please stop adding rant like "city itself is also designated as its own separate raion" to Ukraine articles. I clearly understand what do you intend to say, but your wide-spread wording is confusingly wrong. Just believe me cause I make my living from studying Ukr. politics and government. Read thoroughly Subdivisions of Ukraine instead. Contact me re: anything, but please don't restore that your phrase anywhere. Wishes,AlexPU 12:17, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Forgot to post diff link as an example: [1].AlexPU 12:24, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Well, Tufkaa, sooner or later all of us encounter AlexPU with his difficult to deal temper and annoying boasting about his "professional expertize in Ukrainian politics". This is one of the examples of the former and this is an example of the latter (I especially liked the perl that "The Ukrainian president can appoint Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Defense unilaterally (without nomination or approvement)" ) that needs to be occasionally cleaned up (sometimes I wonder what sort of media organizations employ such proFFesional experts). (That's aside from the edit summaries like this or or many "proFFesional" entries like this).
As for the essential part of what he is saying ignoring his tone as most learned, I think this is an example of how to put this better and less misleadingly. I already replaced the original phrasing you added in the articles of the towns and cities that I got to editing. Let me know if you like it. Gradually, we can rephrase this everywhere but I am not inclined to go bot-like and do all of them at once. When I edit the article for whatever reason I replace your text with my version. Let me know what you think. --Irpen 19:53, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

I haven't looked at any geographic articles in a while (I believe the edit cited was from July?!?!), so I'm ignoring most of this. I will be focusing more on Christianity in Ukraine, and have other articles in mind to improve. We're all trying our best here.--tufkaa 23:07, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Fair enough. Ukrainian Christianity is a fascinating topic indeed and I am only waiting for being able to put aside a couple of hours since this is not a type of article that one can contribute in 15 minute increments. I just wanted to check that you do not disapprove this kind of phrasing. --Irpen 00:48, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Carpathian Ruthenia

Would you mind taking a look at Talk:Carpathian Ruthenia#Ruler discrepancy? I found some seemingly contradictory information that I believe you had added originally. Clarification would be appreciated. Olessi 23:26, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] request to move to kyiv

Hello,

I have set up a request to move the page Kiev to Kyiv.

I have outlined four key reasons for doing so in the discussion section of the page.

Looking through the archives, I saw that you had contributed to this page earlier. I would like to hear what you have to say on this topic.

Thank you
