[edit] Numbering
Isn't he technically the third O le Ao o le Malo, not the second? When the state became independent, there were actually two joint heads of state -- Tupua Tamasese Mea'ole, who lived for only a year, and Malietoa Tanumafili II, who just recently died. --Jfruh (talk) 13:27, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Technically Tupua Tamasese Mea'ole and Malietoa Tanumafili II were 1st=, as they were both heads of state at once, which is why Tupua Tamasese is 2nd --Lholden 22:34, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Correct Title for The Head of State
Hi. I just have one question about the Tupua's correct title. Numerous news articles that I have read refer to him as "Tuiatua", such as Tuiatua Tupua Tamasese Efi [1][2]. Could some please explain this title to me, what it means and how it should be used to address Tupua Tamasese Efi. Thanks again. Your help and advice is really appreciated.Scanlan 14:42, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
