Hola, and welcome to El área de la discusión del chico, or the boy's talk page. Feel free to leave me a message, and you are even welcome to join in on existing conversations. [[Image:{{{image}}}|45px| ]] If you've come here from another wiki…
Because I often view my Wikipedia talk page more often than other talk pages, I frequently tell users of other wikis to come to this page. For this reason, you may have come here from another Wikimedia wiki. If this is the case, please leave your username on that wiki, and a link to the article in question. (e.g. meta:User:JohnDoe and meta:Wikinews.

Note: Please do not revert personal attacks and vandalism to this page. Also, comments by the anonymous user dubbed Treason are not vandalism, as I am engaged in a discussion with him. Thank you.

[edit] Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! (you wanted a clean slate, didn't you? :-)) — David Remahl 12:28, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Thanks. I'm trying to keep this blank slate blank, as far as behavior and “trolling” goes anyway. — El Chico! Talk 19:39, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)

It's supposed to be gray, I was a little distraught when I saw it as green in IE. Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 22:31, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] User:El Chico

Note that User:El Chico is User:33451 under a new name. — David Remahl 12:54, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Why was it neccessary to put this after all my RfD votes? I'm trying to downplay my past, so that I will not automatically be accused of trolling. Is it that you don't trust me, despite the blank slate? — El Chico! Talk 19:41, 24 Sep 2004 (UTC)

I do understand that you want to downplay your past, and that is good. The best way to do that, is to stay out of discussions where your old user has participated before or to be clear that El Chico is your new name. Otherwise, one may construe that you are using El Chico as a sock-puppet for 33451. Agreeing with what 33451 said, looks a lot like the way you decided to use 33451 to lend credence to "WikiWatch". I don't think that was your intention, but it had that effect. As I said, the best way to avoid 33451 and El Chico from getting mixed up, is to stay out of the exact issues 33451 was involved in. — David Remahl 21:51, 24 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Oh, and allow me to add that I think you've been doing a lot of good stuff! Keep it up. — David Remahl 21:56, 24 Sep 2004 (UTC)

It is pathetic that this "David Remahl" thinks he can dictate to other people what to think of you! If I were you, [cut], I would delete his little "note" from your page.172.130.196.212 06:30, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Logo template.

I reverted your edits because you specified "a company or product." However, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies also have copyrighted logos. [[User:Neutrality|Neutrality (talk)]] 15:41, Sep 27, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] I'm Back - But Just for Tuesdays

I've returned from a short and unplanned WikiVacation, but from now on I'll only be visiting wikipedia on Tuesdays. Sorry about that — El Chico! Talk 21:22, 25 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not perform tests on the main page

Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you were just trying to experiment, then use the sandbox instead. Thank you.

Things change; people forget; and history repeats. If I recall, this user, under one of his myriad previous names, was the one who repeatedly put the boy love magazine cover on ITN. — Golbez 21:51, Oct 25, 2004 (UTC)

I needed to perform my test on the main page; it was, in fact, a test of the main page. Sorry about that, but I encountered a glitch earlier where typing in the URL for ITN took me to the “View source” for the main page. I thought that maybe the ITN was protected now. Sorry. Also, I wanted to see how fast vandalism of the main page would be reverted. In this case, it was ten minutes, which is, in my experience, slow. — El Chico! Talk

If it wasn't vandalism, then why did you expect it to be reverted? And if it was a test, why didn't you revert it yourself? And why did you have to add a bogus item instead of, lets say, an <!--test--> comment? Oh well, lets drop this now...— David Remahl 14:32, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)
How about following a protocol here? If you have a test to perform, there is a Test Wikipedia site. Then advertise your change on the Main Page talk page, or Village Pump, etc. Unilateral actions are a good way to get in trouble here. Also, you might try asking before acting. Ancheta Wis 01:35, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Mav points out that is what Main Page/Temp is for.

[edit] Biting the Newcomers

Because they'd just vandalised the front page FOUR TIMES, with edit comments showing they knew exactly what they were doing. Thats why. Notice how they got banned seconds after I posted it. I'd appreciated you research stuff before you start finger-pointing - I probably should have filled out the comment, but clicking "User Contributions" shouldn't have been beyond you.

Kiand 00:26, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Did you actually log at his edit comments? It was someone who was already proficient in MediaWiki markup and knew the newbie-test-warnings procedure, hence his line about "Don't post any crap like {{test1}} on my user page". He sure as hell wasn't a newbiew
If you're going around finding users to moan at, do some research first. I did, I knew it wasn't a newbie, hence my so-called "attack".
Kiand 17:51, 2 Nov 2004 (UTC)

T****, you've been told before that you're very, very bad at trolling. It's dead obvious to anyone who's familiar with your past behavior (i.e. me) that 10101 is another of your sockpuppets. Please don't do this; I know you can make real contributions rather than waste your time (and everyone else's) with this nonsense. —No-One Jones (m) 00:32, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)

And he has the cheek to say something along the lines of he'd be "watching me". Right. If an admin or a sysop wants to watch me, go ahead. If some sockpuppeter threatens it (look at his contributions).
Surely the user signup function could be modified to have a git-test on it to stop idiots getting through...

[edit] User:AppleWorks Warrior

The Image:3718.jpg was listed for deletion (see commons:Commons:Deletion requests/Old) where it said Probably copyrighted, unapprobiate, used for vandalism on en: andy 20:27, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC). I think the image looked like a personal logo for Apple Warrior, but i don't remember exactly, so I can't tell if my agreement with this statement and the decision to delete was correct. Sorry -- Chris 73 Talk 23:42, Nov 18, 2004 (UTC)

Worse, that image was a kind-of-porn image - showing two nude ladies at the beach with obviously photoshopped impossibly oversized breasts. Very grainy, not fitting in a encyclopedic work (or any other of the wikimedia projects), and I doubt he created that image himself. And it was abused to be displayed on the main page via a template, it was additionally used for vandalism. So it was an obvious speedy deletion candidate. andy 09:01, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
AppleWorks Warrior is Tuesday Teen's sock puppet, and he has a history of using sock-puppets (I'd say we've identified at least 10 at this time...) TT, _please_ stop it. Remember that a number of us have your full contact details, as well as your school's. And no matter how clever you think your troll's are, using commons and everything, you're not fooling anyone. — David Remahl 10:40, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Your denial that you have anything to do with this IP address is not very convincing when you use that same IP address to sign comments with your name. —No-One Jones (m) 18:17, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I'm also having trouble imagining that anyone else would be likely to commit AppleWorks related vandalism. Does anyone really use AppleWorks in this day and age? — David Remahl 15:45, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] User:AppleWorks Warrior

Now that clarifies a lot. Thanks for the note -- Chris 73 23:59, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)

It should be noted that Tuesday Teen is a sock-puppet of AppleWorks Warrior, and that Tuesday Teen has a history of vandalism and sock-puppetry. — Chmod007 23:57, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)

That's libel. I'm the user who changed my name from El Chico, and AppleWorks Warrior is completely unrelated. I can prove it too. You know damn well I'm in Ohio, but the IP that originally used 10101/AppleWorks's vandalism on en:Template:In the news (128.20.9.24) shows this.

OrgName: University of California, Irvine
OrgID: UCI-1
Address: 902 W. Peltason Drive

Therefore I am not' in any way a sockpuppet of AppleWorks, however, I will not let Chris make up copyrights out of nowhere. You're welcome to reply on en:User_talk:Tuesday_Teen. — Tuesday Teen | Talk | Mail 17:51, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
