A Tubano is a modern drum designed by the drum manufacturers Remo. The great advantage of the drum is the fact that it is free standing and does not need to be tilted or mounted on a stand. They are manufactured in a variety of sizes for children and adults, some have pretuned heads and some have key tuning. The shell is acoustic and the sound produced is similar to a conga drum
