[edit] Restore Hosaphone(tm)

I trust that those well intentioned individuals who have deleted/redirected the Hosaphone(tm) page will now take it about themselves to correct the the appalling situation that exists with entries for "Hamburger", "Big Mac", and "Whopper".

No one has yet suggested removing the entries for Big Mac and Whopper because one for "Hamburger" adequately covers the subject.

The Hosaphone(tm) is a specific trademarked instance of generic trumpet made from hose 3/8 inch interior diameter plastic hose and funnel. As such it has a life of its own apart similar devices.

In the same way the "Big Mac" is a specific trademarked "Hamburger".

Substituting "tube trumpet", a coined phrase unknown until now for the well-known and accepted "Hosaphone(tm)" is not an improvment.

  • Big Mac and Whopper have good citations to reliable sources while the Hosaphone does not. Be glad that anything of the Hosaphone remains - it might easily have been deleted completely if I had not spoken in its defense. Colonel Warden (talk) 14:13, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Restore Hosaphone(tm)

The Hosaphone(tm) FAQ is a reliable primary source document.

  http://www.faqs.org/faqs/music/brass/hosaphone-faq/

It has been registered on faqs.org for over 10 years, easily predating Wikipedia itself.
