Tuanku Abbas

Tuanku Abbas was a Malayan pirate active in the 1840's and the brother of a rajah of Achin. Abbas was known for sponsoring and leading pirate raids. His most notable raid was in 1843 when he capturered an Indian Crew and plundered their ship. After capture, the crew escaped and appealed to the British authorities who in 1844 burned Abbas' village.[1]
