Tuana Altunbashian, who was born in Turkey in August 1933, became regionally famous by being the runner-up of the 1954 Turkish National Beauty Contest. Afterwards, she started working in Paris, France as a model and photo model by encouragements of her Greek Cypriot husband.
After she had divorced from her Greek Cypriot husband, she moved to Metz in 1958 and resigned from modeling.
The most important rumour about her is that,in 1959 she was firstly proposed to the role of Patricia Franchini in À bout de souffle, which moved Jean Seberg to the top.
In her last years, she decided to write her autobiography which is entitled "Guzeldim Bir Zamanlar" (I Was Beautiful Once Upon A Time). That book was criticized oppressively because of including offensive accusations. After that, Tuana Altunbashian moved to South Cyprus to live her memories which is related with her ex husband.
