[edit] License tagging for Image:Auckland FIDS.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Auckland FIDS.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:04, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome!
Hi, and welcome to the Aviation WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to aviation.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPAVIATION Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, and project-wide collaboration.
- We have a number of child projects and task forces that focus on specific topics and aircraft types.
- We're developing a variety of guidelines for article structure and content, template use, categorization, and other issues that you may find useful.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the experienced project members, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Trevor MacInnis (Contribs) 03:11, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Translating an article
I will help you out in translating Cross-strait Charter on Lunar New Year. But you have to wait till this Saturday (April 21) because that's my last exam. If you need help, you can leave me an message. OhanaUnited 18:00, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hello. 我打中文很慢, 所以我多數打英文. I have more time starting this Saturday and we can work together on translating the article. However, I want to point out that this doesn't only occur on Chinese New Year, it also occurs on 清明. OhanaUnited 14:58, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
-
- Best solution is to first finish translating, then move page. How about that? OhanaUnited 17:53, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- No problem. Please understand that translating and proofreading are different things. Don't feel that you translated something badly. I will revise the article during proofreading phrase. And my exams will be done in less than a day, so you should start seeing more translation after tomorrow. OhanaUnited 23:19, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Thanks for answering me
Hi! Yes, my friend was Henry :) I smile when I remember him because he always had a smile on his face. About the Chinese name: He was very proud of being an American. His salutatorian speech at graduation (June 2006) was about how proud he was to become an American citizen just a month earlier. He wouldn't have cared if his name was written in English, or in Hanyu Pinyin, so I think it should remain in English out of respect for his family, who are also very proud to have become Americans. I don't want you to mistake it for losing culture, however. They are a very culturally Chinese family. They retain their Chinese values, and they would never disgrace them. Thank you for your kind words. It comforts me that Henh's life has reached so many people internationally, not just locally. His life was an amazing example of living up to your potential. He always wanted people to do the best they could, and he showed them that by doing the same. Thank you again! PS: your English is amazing!--JUDE talk 16:13, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lunar New Year cross-strait charter
Hello,
I changed the article name because most news sources call it the "Lunar New Year cross-strait charter". I think I might have changed 'travellers' to 'travelers', but I wasn't really thinking when I made the change. You can change it back to travellers. − Twas Now ( talk • contribs • e-mail ) 17:35, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:YanPingHighSchool.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:YanPingHighSchool.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 22:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] License (on commons)
Uhm, I think that the license is wrong. The license states that you have created the image of your school's flag but that's not true. I suggest you to ask to your teacher that might know the right license or to your HeadMaster if you can. I don't know how it's school in China but usually teachers like the idea of wikipedia (and related projects) and usually they try to help the students as they can. If you can, try to know what's the right license (it's important, please take care). Bye, --Filnik dimmi! 15:08, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry for the mistake. I know where's Taiwan and I know a bit of his history ;-) By the way, I'm sorry but basing from what you've said I cannot understand what's the right license, (really) better ask ;-) Bye, Filnik dimmi! 15:37, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Yang Huimin
Hello, I started translating that article a few weeks ago from Chinese to English, but got stuck on the schools she taught at. If you knew the correct English translations of the schools in question, I would appreciate it if the translations can be added. Thanks.Ngchen (talk) 01:14, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:The Firefly 7.jpg
Hi Tsungyenlee!

We apologize for this, but all images must confirm to policy on Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.
