Tsunade (綱手), featured in the Japanese folktale Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari (児雷也豪傑物語, "The tale of the gallant Jiraiya"), is the wife of the gallant ninja Jiraiya. She is mastered in slug magic and is able to summon an enormous slug.
In the manga series Naruto Tsunade is one of the three legendary ninja along with Jiraiya and Orochimaru. She is a talented healer, and can summon a giant slug.
